The frostiness between Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan continued
Orlando - After another controversial situation linked to Commissioner Shane McMahon, the price of WWE Champion AJ Styles inadvertently last week, on the team blue against Kevin Owens, Shane-O'Make had begun apologizing for the early moments of SkackDown Live. Team Blue's General Manager Daniel Bryan also in the ring, Shane declared that he will be in the corner of The Phenomonal Forest for the tonight's match between Styles and Sami Zain. In the open, "Yes!" Man reacted saying that he would not allow the owens to be in the rooms only, but he will still be on the edge of tonight.
SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos def. Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable
After a few weeks of Tit-to-Tait by Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable, and after winning an important non-title, the explosive Tandem eventually got his first two-two chance at the SmackDown tag team title against The Americans. There have been many changes in the incredibly action-packed competition many times. It appears that Benjamin and Gabe had won, when Benjamin loved Jimmy after 1-2-3, and Gallet did a vicious double team maneuver. However, soon it came to know that those who were really legal people, and thus, the match was restarted.
With a new lease on life, Jimmy and Joe recovered the storm of Benjamin and Gable, and supercected both to forget the superstars and win after a big appearances.
The Bludgeon Brothers vs. Breezango
After going through his "best friend" edition last week, Breejango once again faced the Blackjon Brothers on SmackDown Live. Tyler Breeze and Fendango once again dominated and then bombed Harper and Rowan by ringing the bell.
However, when Brisango started to smudge as if it did not end, Conor and Victor helped to get out of their fashion files colleagues. Unfortunately for Escension, they got more rights, and Harper and Rowan took them out, in the process, the rest of the team gave a bold statement to the Blue Tag teams.
Xavier Woods def. Aiden English in the first round of the United States Championship Tournament
With the war between The New Day and Rusev Day still raging, Xavier Woods and Aiden English squared off in the first round of the United States Championship Tournament. And as Big E & Kofi Kingston as well as Rusev patrolled ringside, the two Superstars battled boldly with a spot in the semifinals of the tournament hanging in the balance.
In the height of the action, Woods was able to block a major high-risk maneuver attempt by English, allowing him to connect with his top rope elbow to set up a clash against Jinder Mahal in the next round.
The Riott Squad def. Natalya, Carmella & Tamina
After getting the better of The Riott Squad in a wild brawl last week, Natalya, Carmella & Tamina looked to continue the momentum by defeating the squadron in Six-Woman Tag Team action tonight on Team Blue.
With the animosity simmering between the two sides, the action was intense. After a hardly fought battle, The Riott Squad prevailed when Sarah Logan hit Tamina with a brutal double knee out of a handstand for the win.
After. the contest, Ruby Riott declared Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan for the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble Match. However, The Riott Squad’s good vibes were quickly diminished when SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair hit the scene. The Queen informed the deadly trio that a dose of reality was coming their way and then introduced Naomi and the returning Becky Lynch (who The Riott Squad ruthlessly assaulted in the backstage area on their first night on Team Blue, causing her to miss several weeks).) Together, the three Superstars charged The Riott Squad and swiftly took them out.
Lesson learned? Play with straight fire, and you’re gonna get burned.
WWE Champion AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn
Kevin Owens is joining Zayn tonight at ringside.
Also. at ringside tonight: Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon.
Back live, the bell rings and Styles levels Zayn with a clothesline immediately. Styles sends Zayn face first to the corner. Styles with a snap suplex on Zayn. Styles with chops to Zayn. Zayn fires back with a high back body drop on Styles. Styles catches Zayn with a big dropkick as Zayn bounced off the ropes. Styles is arguing with Owens at ringside. Daniel and Shane get involved to break it up. Back in the ring, Zayn catches Styles with a delayed bridge suplex for a close two count as we head to a commercial break.
We return live with Zayn applying a headlock on Styles to keep him grounded. Styles with a series of strikes and then a flying forearm off the ropes. Zayn catches Styles with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a close two count. Styles with a roll through and gets the Calf Crusher applied on Zayn. Zayn is reaching for the bottom rope. Styles grabs Zayn, turns him over and goes back to the Calf Crusher. Zayn pulls and reaches out getting to the bottom rope to break it up. Styles catches Zayn with a Pele Kick. Styles with a quick forearm to Zayn from the ring apron. Styles springboards off the ropes, Zayn moves, Styles grabs Zayn and pushes him into the referee who falls out. Styles with a crucifix cover as Owens distracts the referee. The referee finally gets in and Zayn kicks out. Shane pushes Owens down at ringside. He demands the referee send him to the back. The referee ejects Owens. Bryan gets on the mic and says he should leave with Owens. Zayn with a Helluva Kick to Styles in the corner and picks up the pinfall. Zayn has pinned the WWE Champion.
Winner: Sami Zayn
After the match, we see a replay of the finish. Back live, AJ Styles grabs a mic and wonders if this is what it’s going to be like every week. Styles isn’t sure who’s side Bryan or Shane is on. He tells them to stop bickering like children. Styles says he is the WWE Champion and wants to entertain without people getting involved. He said they might as well book him in a handicap match against them.
Bryan grabs the mic and loudly agrees. He says Styles will defend the WWE Championship against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at the Royal Rumble in a handicap match. Shane is not happy and neither is Styles. Bryan starts up a “YES!” chant to close the show.
