Patrick Veera will be nominated among Arsene Wenger's potential candidates to succeed at Arsenal but says he is happy in New York City.

An integral member of the first successful Wenger teams in France's Abby,

who won three Premier League titles and three FA Cups between 1996 and 2005.

He later played for Juventus, Inter and Manchester City,

and is now coaching the subsequent brother club in Major League Soccer.

Arsenal announced Wenger's departure on Friday, suggesting Veera could capture Emirates Stadium.

WNYE, the 41-year-old New York radio station, offers a cautious response to the speculation.

"I spent nine years at Arsenal, which makes the club really special to me," he said.

"But not enough to train the team."

"I'm always nice to hear my name associated with different football clubs,

it's good for your ego, but at the same time, I'm happy here.

"We'll see what will happen in the next few years."

Before the news emerged that he was ready to leave,

Wenger, himself said this week that Veera could be considered the future manager of Arsenal.

"He is a child whose capacity is one day, yes," said Wenger.

"I have followed my managerial career, I think he does very well,

but in general, this is the Premier League special.

"You have to enter and there are many players who have played here,

who have the potential, intelligence, and knowledge."
