San Diego (AP) - Matt Szczur doubled in the seventh inning and the San Diego bullpen played four scoreless innings to lift the Padres before the Washington nations won 2-1.

Tied in game 1, Manuel Margot opened the third place in the game in seventh place, the only one, and stole the second before reaching third place in the receiver's throwing error. To mark Szczur, Margot doubled reliever Trevor Got (0-2) for the left field fence.

Kirby Yates took the perfect eighth place, and Brad Hadd was out three after Ryan Zimmerman's only 10th save.

The nations, which had snatched their three-game winning streak, began advancing in seventh place in the Vieters Leadership Double. But Craig Stamain (1-0) hit Mosses Sierra and Wilmer Dito, before pinch-hitter Matt Adams finished third.

None of the incumbents made the decision, although both covered well.

Geo Gonzalez played six innings for the nations, allowing one run, five hits, and three walks. He scored eight runs Joey Lukessesi, who entered the best ERA (3.13) for novice beginners, played five more innings. He left one race and six hits with one race and six strikeouts.

The parents broke in fourth place when AJ Alice and Margot placed two pairs consecutively and tied her to 1.

Rendon hit his eighth homer to give the nation a 1-0 lead.

Padres: RHP Jordan Lions (0-0) debuts season as a starter. Lyons has restricted the opponents of 194 (14 for 72 runs) to the batting average in the limited 19.2 innings of the opponents.
