Smith pitches, hits Marlins to 4-0 win over Padres

Miami (AP) - Caleb Smith entered the sixth inning and Miami Marlin made an impetus for his first hit

of the race on Friday night by defeating San Diego Padres 4-0.

Smith (5-6) scored 5 hits and two runs, while five runs in 5/3 innings. Brad Ziegler played 1 2/3,

and Drew Stachenrider and Kelly gave three to finish the close.
