Karnataka municipal polls: Congress wins 982 seats, BJP 929
In the Survey of Transcarpathia, in a close race with the party of Bharatiya Janata, the Congress noticed that 982 of the 2662 seats were won. BJP almost doubled 929 seats. HD Kumaraswamy Prime Minister Janata Dal (secular) had a distant third with 375 seats, while the independents won 329 seats.
The survey was carried out in August, in more than 100 cities, in 21 districts.
