India vs New Zealand 2nd T20, Live Cricket Score: Colin Munro’s Ton Powers New Zealand To 196/2
Team India will look to seal the three-match T20I series when they come out to bat in chase of 197 in 20 overs. New Zealand captain Kane Williamson elected to bat after winning the toss. Martin Guptill and Colin Munro (109*) came to the party as they tonked the Indian bowlers all around to give the visitors a solid start in the game. Few big overs in the beginning of the game swayed the momentum towards the Black Caps. Colin Munro starred with the bat as he hit a brilliant T20I century in just 54 balls to power his team to a big total. Yuzvendra Chahal got the first breakthrough when he dismissed Martin Guptill for 45. Following which, debutant Mohammed Siraj picked up his maiden wicked in form of Williamson (12). As usual, Jasprit Bumrah curbed down the flow of runs in the death overs which did not allow the visitors to cross the 200-run mark.
The 2007 World T20 champions have produced impressive death bowling with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah leading the pace department, while the spinners also pitched in with some excellent bowling in the middle overs. Considering the immense all-round strength that the hosts boast of, it’s going to be a Herculean task for the Kane Williamson-led New Zealand to prevent India from surging to a third T20I series victory in eight contests, going back to 2012-13, three of which were drawn encounters. The last game is scheduled at Thiruvananthapuram on November 7.
